ShiftWeb turns 10 years old!

February 1st, 2021 is a big day for me… It’s ShiftWeb’s 10 year anniversary! Please celebrate with me by letting me send you a special gift. I promise you’ll love it! (More info at end of this post.)

In 2011, I decided to make the leap to be an entrepreneur and started ShiftWeb Solutions. I was 27 years old, incredibly excited and terrified at the same time.

I’m not going to lie… the decade really flew by. It doesn’t feel like 10 years. But if I really reflect on it, the decade was jam packed with:

• learning and growth
• success and failures
• ups and downs

But most of all, I was always full of gratitude.

I am so grateful to have the opportunity to serve small businesses in helping them grow. I am grateful to still have a business, when 45% of small businesses fail in the first 5 years. I am grateful for YOU and for your love and support through the years.

Sure, 10 years may sound like a good amount of time, but I feel like I’m just getting started…

Today, I am celebrating MORE than just my business anniversary. I am rolling out much more…

✅ I’ve rebranded.
✅ I’ve got a new domain name.
✅ I’ve got a new website.
✅ I’ve got a new email address.

As you can see, these are big changes. And I’m ecstatic.

I’ve rebranded.

I started my company as “ShiftWeb Solutions”. After 10 years, I’m finally able to change my name to just “ShiftWeb”. I explain more about the in domain name change section.

In addition to the slight name change, I’ve also tweaked the font and colors of my logo. Check out the evolution of my brand:

I’ve got a new domain name.

When I first started my business, I just wanted to be “ShiftWeb”. But I had to add the word “Solutions” to my name because shiftweb.com was taken and someone was trying to sell it for about $15,000! At that time, a new small business like me couldn’t afford it so I went with “ShiftWeb Solutions”.

In 2020, I decided to try to negotiate with the owners of shiftweb.com and buy the domain name. After months of negotiating, I am finally the super proud owner of shiftweb.com! And I got it for much less than the original $15k. 🙂

I’ve got a new website.

2020 was the year that made us all rethink everything. I had a major light bulb moment that inspired me to completely revamp my website from the ground up. I refined my business mission, rewrote all of my copy, and redesigned everything.

And it feels so damn good.

For years, I thought I had to cater to all businesses. So all of my marketing and web content was generic and boring. I didn’t feel aligned with my business mission. I’ve always felt like something wasn’t right…

Then it hit me.

My business mission wasn’t aligned with me and who I am.

So 2020 was a year of finding that alignment with my other half, ShiftWeb.

In the decade I’ve been in business, I’ve gone through many website versions. With this latest version, I have to admit that I’ve never been this proud of my website!

I feel energized. I finally feel aligned with everything I’m doing. It’s truly a beautiful thing. And it’s a game changer.
